PHANTAZMA
I was born and raised in the metro-detroit area and have been drawing, coloring, painting, creating, ideating, etc for as long as I can remember. Everything from cars to monsters to superheroes, became my creative outlet. My ability to create and share visual representations of my imagination became a part of me and being from the Motor City, led me into a career in the automotive design world.
This path led me all around the Mid-West, from Cleveland to Chicago. And it was Chicago where I really came alive. Being in a huge city, surrounded by so many different people from all over and all walks of life, I gained a new perspective on how I viewed the world and, as a life long introvert, finally started to come out of my shell. Chicago, much like Detroit, will always have a special place in my heart!

Eventually, I was given the opportunity to continue my design career in Seattle, a chance to move out west, something I had always wanted to do. And it was in Seattle where I think I really came into my own. I discovered the type of person I want to be, and what really mattered most to me. Seattle was also the place where I spent the long, grueling two years of the COVID pandemic. And once it was over, and we had to go back to the office, and I just couldn't do it. I just wasn't passionate about what I was doing. There were so many other things to think about and create from, I couldn't just limit myself to designing vehicles anymore.

In the summer of 2022 I decided to finally take a leap of faith and quit my 12+ year career as a designer in order to pursue my creative endeavors. And while I still use the many tools I've learned over my career, I can finally let the reigns off of my imagination and explore different ideas, new mediums, and unique processes.
